The NPD Group has just made public its video game sales info
for November... what a month! Total video game industry
numbers came in at $1.7 billion, up 34 percent over last year. U.S.
Game Software sales rose 15 percent to $804 million (!!!) with
console video games at $618 million and portable games at $185
million); console sales were up, totaling $771 million dollars (69
percent increase)... and gaming accessories rose 19 percent,
totaling $158 million bucks!

Year-end report for 2006: $13.6 billion. With one cable program,
and another on Direct TV, Pro Gaming is expected to stimulate
game sales much higher this year.

Although the World of Warcraft crowd won't get their
long-anticipated expansion pack, The Burning Crusade, in time for
Christmas, they will get a consolation prize in the form of an
incremental patch that reworks the PvP system and gives players
a new arena system, along with a few other features. If you're

Apparently the revision requires either version 1.12.0 or version
1.12.1 of World of Warcraft, and is available only for North
America, Great Britain, Germany, France, and Spain, but other
